Rev. Fran Spier Saylor - Pastor
Having been nurtured into ministry by the Raleigh Moravian congregation many years ago, The Rev. Fran Spier Saylor is delighted to return to this congregation to serve as pastor. She is energized by creating fresh expressions of worship, strengthening communities, and building relationships through the kind of loving hospitality that Jesus modeled.
Fran brings a variety of experience to her ministry at Raleigh Moravian. Before beginning her pastorate here, Fran served as the founding pastor of The Table, a new and emerging Moravian ministry in Western Wake County. In addition to serving other Moravian congregations, she has also served in the United Methodist Church, taught in preschools and elementary schools, sold books for an independent bookstore, and worked in advertising.
Pastor Fran serves on the Board of Trustees of Moravian Theological Seminary and the Board of Trustees of Lancaster Theological Seminary. She has also enjoyed developing ecumenical relationships through serving on the Moravian-Episcopal Coordinating Committee.
A graduate of Salem College, Duke Divinity School and Moravian Theological Seminary, Fran lives in Apex with her husband, Scott. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and one grandson.
In her spare time, Fran enjoys reading, walking and biking, spending time with family, traveling, and playing on our beautiful North Carolina coast.

Jami Vandock - Director of Faith Formation
In her position as DFF, Jami has a special concentration on programs for children, youth, and their families. She brings lifelong experience with the Moravian Church plus training and experience in music education to her work at Raleigh Moravian. Jami grew up in Ohio as a member of Dover First Moravian Church. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University. Additionally, she completed a Master’s in Music Education from Kent State University with a focus on accommodating students with special needs in the elementary classroom. She previously taught k-12 music in public education and served as Director of Church Music.
Jami became a member of Raleigh Moravian shortly after moving to North Carolina in 2013. The prominence and preservation of music traditions is one of the most important reasons Jami feels drawn to the Moravian Church. Jami and her husband, Kurt, enjoy singing in the church choir and traveling, gardening, and cooking with their two children.

Sara Montgomery - Director of Music/Organist
Sara loves serving our Lord through music. She has a music degree from Capital University and has been playing organ since high school. Her love of music began at a young age when she would draw pictures of her own church organist. When not at the piano or organ, she enjoys bike riding, cooking, cross-stitching, reading and spending time with her family. She has one son Tommy who is an eight and is such a blessing. She is thankful for the Lord's work in her life and others.
Mary Frances Shore - Administrative Assistant
Mary Frances became a Moravian when she married her husband in 2005, and has been a member at Raleigh Moravian since 2009. She loves cooking and baking with her twins and is dreading drivers ed, which starts soon! Her son is in Tae Kwon Do, and though he is only 9, he should be receiving his black belt by the end of the year. Her husband is close to completing his "50 before 50", running a half marathon in all fifty states. She loves supporting her family in all of their endeavors, and loves just sitting and reading while they do their activities.
