The Moravian Essentials:   History and Relevance for  Today

Many of us grew up hearing “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; and in all things, love” without ever hearing anyone ever explain the essentials. Over the course of four weeks,  The Rev. Dr. Riddick Weber, Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Moravian Theological Seminary, will lead us as we look at who developed the concept of the essentials and why, explore the extent to which this concept has maintained its relevance for Moravians, and raise questions of terminology and applicability for today.
  • The class will begin on June 8.  It will be held on Mondays from 11:00 to noon. A link to the Zoom invitation will be sent to all who have registered. Payment is registration.
  • The cost is $20 per household ($21 if you register online). Click below or mail checks to 1816 Ridge Rd, Raleigh, 27607.
