Teaching Ministry

Raleigh Moravian offers a variety of educational opportunities for all ages. Beginning with our youngest brothers and sisters and extending through adulthood, our focus is on providing opportunities for life-long faith formation.
Sunday School
Sunday school for all ages meets at 9:45 a.m. We have classes for preschool children, elementary age children, middle school, high school, and adults. Our preschool through grade 1 and 2nd through 5th grade classes are using the Whirl curriculum. Middle school students meet the second and fourth Sundays of the month in the MYF room for study, discussion, and fellowship. High school students meet the second and fourth Sundays of the month at Bruegger's Bagels at the Ridgewood Shopping Center during the Sunday school hour for fellowship, Bible study, and discussion of a variety of topics and issues.
We offer different Sunday study options for adults throughout the year. Topics tend to rotate in six-eight week cycles and have included the history and theology of the ancient Unity, the Moravian church, Bible study, faith and politics, Paul in Corinth, seasonal Advent and Lenten studies, and studies that explore faith and justice.
Seasonal and Special Fellowship Events
In addition to Sunday morning fellowship, we offer opportunities to gather together for fellowship and learning during the week, for example: a women's monthly bible study, a needlework and knitting group, and this past summer we offered two A.R.T. (Art, Reflection, and Tapas) fellowship events. Got an idea for midweek fellowship? Let us know!
