Sister Church, Fuente de Vida in Costa Rica
We maintain an exchange program where members of both churches visit with the other congregation to share ideas, learn about each other’s culture, and explore our connections to the worldwide Moravian Church. During 2006, the Women’s Ministry purchased a set of flannel story boards to facilitate Christian Education at Fuente de Vida. Plans are underway for a team from Raleigh Moravian to deliver the story boards to our Sister Church when they visit this year.
Adopt a Village Program
We are in the second year of a 3-year commitment to support the Village of Iyombakuzova in Tanzania through the Adopt a Village Program sponsored by the Moravian Board of World Mission. By committing $1,000 annually, members of Raleigh Moravian can assist the village in caring for children who have become orphans because of the AIDS epidemic. (more)
International Missionaries
Raleigh Moravian provides financial support to 6 Missionaries serving, witnessing, and teaching in foreign lands.
Moravian Youth Fellowship
Every four years the MYF goes on an international mission trip. The last one was to Costa Rica in 2004. Plans are beginning for the 2008 mission trip.
